April Cushman is the true country girl, living in a small New Hampshire town called Swanzey, on her farm (Highland Farm) with her husband Michael, and five-year-old daughter, Maddison. She has been playing guitar since she was just five-years-old, and performing since grade school at her local church. While performing either solo, as a duo with her lead guitarist or as a full band, her inspiration comes from many of today’s southern rock and more traditional country artists such as Chris Stapleton, Ashley McBryde, Luke Combs and Miranda Lambert. Other influences include Tom Petty, Sheryl Crow and James Taylor.
Her band consists of five members (including April): Nathan Ratliff (drums), Chris Mahoney (bass), Steve Moreau (guitar and vocals) and Jim Eibner (pedal steel). Recently nominated as New England Country Music’s Local Female Artist of the Year and New England Music Awards’ Country Act of the Year, April Cushman brings a high energy performance and charisma to all stages!
